Upstairs Blue Room, Afternoon Purple Room

I teach:

in the Upstairs Blue Room and the Afternoon Purple Room.

I have been at Akiba-Schechter since:

2010

Education/degrees:

B.S. in Family Studies & Community Development and Womens Studies, Towson University

I like to teach because:

I love being a part of children's first experiences at school and helping them create their early school memories. I like to teach because each day I learn something new from being in the classroom with my students. There is always a new discovery and experience being made.

My favorite part of teaching is:

Creating a community between families, children, and the classroom. I love seeing my students grow and develop over the school year.

I became a teacher because:

I enjoy creating a loving and caring atmosphere where children can grow and develop through their curiosity and imagination. It is important to me for children to enjoy, appreciate, and have a desire to learn and expand their knowledge throughout their school years.

I'm known by my students for:

Always wearing a big smile and giving out warm hugs.

When I'm not teaching, I

Love exploring the City of Chicago through museums and restaurants. I enjoy trying new foods and baking. I also love being outdoors whether it is going for a walk with my dog, visiting the beach, or going on a hike.
